3 Days Later
Victory Christian Chapel, Melbourne.
In John 17:23, Jesus prayed for all believers that there would be unity among them and as a result, the world would know that the Father had sent Him because of His great love. 3 Days Later was formed in 2009 with band members from different churches to come together and glorify God and relay His love for all people. Dan Stahl, drummer, is from Zion Church in Palm Bay. Marty Oakey, bass player and vocals, is from First Baptist of Melbourne as is our one female member. Ken Sharp, lead guitar, and Mark Mahoney, lead vocal and guitar, attend Victory Christian Chapel in Melbourne.
Bethany
Bethany Baptist Church, West Melbourne.
The purpose of the Bethany Praise Team is to "Transfer the Glory", which is a phrase taken from a quote from puritan Thomas Watson: "When we have done anything praiseworthy, we must hide ourselves under the veil of humility, and transfer the glory of all we have done to God." They serve Bethany Ministries by leading worship every Sunday morning at 10:30am. Bethany exists to Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World... because people matter. Here are the team members: Top row - Gary Durbin (worship leader), Roger Wiseman (bass guitar), Will Phillips (acoustic guitar), Alex Postlewait (acoustic guitar). Bottom row - Edna Patton (vocals), Kevin Kilday (electric guitar), Andrea Bauer (vocals), Dave Ferguson (drums), Deb Bentley (keyboard). Not Pictured - Lois Ertl (piano) & Christi Dunn (vocals).
Calvary Chapel
Calvary Chapel, Merritt Island.
Calvary Chapel Merritt Island is blessed to have had many talented worship leaders throughout the years. It seems like Calvary Chapel Merritt Island has always been known for the music. There have been many recordings and songs that have come out of the ministry at Calvary Chapel Merritt Island. The current team of musicians have dedicated themselves to serving God’s people and learning how to please Christ through worship. MOLLY'S ALTER are one of these teams, playing together for a short time as a unit, they represent a cross section of the worship teams at CCMI.
Club Zion
Club Zion Community Church, Cocoa Beach.
The Club Zion Praise Band is a group of veteran musicians whose desire is to minister to the Lord by leading His people in worshiping Him. The Psalmist tells us to praise the Lord, to sing a new song to Him, and to sing His praises in the congregation of all the saints. We believe that leading worship is one of the highest callings in ministry and that the true and spiritual worship of our Lord is a very powerful thing. We strive to follow King David's exhortation to "play skillfully before the Lord", while at the same time leading by the example of being a true worshiper. We love the gift of music which God has given us, and with it the ability it affords us to express ourselves to Him, to each other, and to the world. Most of the members of the Club Zion Praise Band have a history of several years in contemporary praise music. We enjoy much of the modern praise music as well as dipping into the well of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. We also love writing our own material along with creating original arrangements of some of the time honored classics. Lastly, there is never a lack of energy with the Club Zion Praise Band. As Pastor Keith Capizzi has said so many times..."we love to rock the flock".
Destiny
Destiny Christian Church, Merritt Island.
What do you get when an incredibly talented keyboard player from the Dominican Republic (Ariel Pena) marries a bold, vocally talented pastor’s daughter (Kristen Montecalvo Pena), throw in a veteran, backbone bass player with vocals (Norm Channell), add some sweet lead chops by Aaron Huck, top it off with the solid heartbeat drums of Brad Cole, sprinkle in some wonderful harmonic vocals and what do you get? ................ DESTINY!! Destiny has been influenced by artists such as Martha Munizzi, Israel Houghton, Tye Tribbett & G.A., Juan Luis Guerra, and Kirk Franklin. They aren't the typical "contemporary" Christian band and are richly influenced by Latin sounds, Jazz, Gospel, Hip-hop, and R&B.......................... Try them, I think you’ll like them.
On the Free Side
Calvary Chapel Melbourne
On the Free Side was born at Calvary Chapel Melbourne for the sole purpose of bringing the gospel to prisons, youth rehabilitation programs and work camps throughout the state of Florida. Now in its 6th year, the lineup currently consists of Ralph Catasus (guitar and vocals), Lew Jessup (electric guitars), David Johnson (sax and keyboards), Steve Palmer (acoustic guitar, bass), Brian Williams (bass) and Bob Mallette (drums). The band has more recently stretched out to accomodate local outreach opportunities and brings a strong message of hope and love through their music to audiences who typically don't yet have a relationship with Christ Jesus. It is not uncommon to find On the Free Side leading worship at local churches, Men's conferences, retreats or spreading the good news at a coffee shop or restaurant.

Something By Friday
Church For The Beach, Indian Harbour Beach.
Something By Friday is made up of the founders of The Immersed Worship Band. Nick Barna and Ivy have been playing for over 7 years together from local spots to traveling the US. Joining them for this event will be Mark Wallace (drummer) and Jake Shearer (bass). Oh, and don't look too deep for a spiritual meaning. We needed a name by Friday and let our fans pick it. Thanks Brian, for the name.
